There’s been a lot of information from us at the Museum and Archives lately about Anne Frank and the travelling exhibit from the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. I say this not as promotion, rather to provide context for this blog because without that exhibit, it’s hard to say whether Donald Reid, Luva Perry, Harold Rogers or Erich Possin would be at the forefront of my work lately.
Lennox and Addington County is accepting applications from residents that are interested in being considered for appointment to the Economic Development Coalition. The Coalition provides advice for business promotion and matters related to economic development.

Bourgon Construction Ltd has been contracted by the County of Lennox & Addington and Prince Edward-Lennox and Addington Social Services to construct a new day care centre at 73 Kildare Avenue.
The County’s Information Technology Services Department recently received an honourary award for an innovative new program created by GIS staff.
On October 16th, department staff were presented the Esri award for 'Excellence in GIS' by Esri Canada for their WORKS (Work Order Record Keeping System) solution.
Amy Kay recently enjoyed This is Baby by Jimmy Fallon and Miguel Ordonez, an amusing, colourful picture book that is perfect for "baby bookworms."
This upcoming P.A. Day, Friday, November 1st, we'll have a ton of fun activities happening across our branches. Please note that Bath, Tamworth and Yarker Branches are closed on Fridays as usual, but we'll have stuff going on into Saturday.

BRICKTASTIC BUILD OFF
We will be ending our exhibition year with a “cracking” good time – tutus, cookies, and Christmas trees included.
Can you believe how fast 2019 is slipping by? I am sitting at my desk reviewing my exhibit plan for 2020 and realize that I am due to write a blog. With this in mind and my exhibit plan in front of me…I think I will highlight what’s around the corner for the exhibits at the museum. This year we circulated nine exhibits with various themes- changing from student sculpted snowmen to model boats, from the St Lawrence Seaway flooding to birds in our backyard.

Lennox and Addington County invites applications from residents interested in being considered for appointment to the Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee.
The Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee is dedicated to identifying barriers and improving accessibility and opportunities for people with disabilities. Committee members are appointed for a two-year term. County Council will appoint members to fill the following vacancy:
