Effective Monday, May 1, 2017 the County of Lennox & Addington will commence with the removal of real estate signs located on County of Lennox & Addington road allowances, except for those located at the point of sale (i.e. at the property for sale).

The public is reminded that any construction, paving or other alteration to driveways that is proposed for that portion of the driveway that is within the limits of any County Road road allowance is subject to By-law No. 2572/95, as amended, "A By-law to Regulate the Location, Construction and Use of Entrances Onto County Roads".

Coco Paving Inc has been contracted by the County of Lennox & Addington to rehabilitate County Rd 4 from Highway 401 south to Highway 33.
The rehabilitation generally consists of drainage improvements (ditching & culverts), in place rubblization of the existing concrete road, adding granular material and asphalt paving including paved shoulders. Subsequent to this work County Rd 4 will no longer be a concrete road.

The public is advised that County of Lennox and Addington By-Law No. 2697/98 regulates and requires the removal of items obstructing, encumbering, injuring or fouling County roads and bridges. The parking of vehicles, depositing of snow and discharging of sumps on County roads and bridges during winter months are examples of actions prohibited under this by-law. Section 181 of the Highway Traffic Act further prohibits the deposit of snow and ice on a roadway.

Pedestrian Crossover Installed at County Road 8 at James Street
The County of Lennox & Addington in conjunction with the Limestone District School Board has installed a new Pedestrian Crossover to improve safety for pedestrians crossing County Road 8 in the Town of Greater Napanee.
