Aside from the mystery genre (in all of its forms), romance is easily the most popular genre of the book world. Circulation statistics for our romance books at the library have always been steady but with the advent of library e-books being offered in the last couple years we are seeing just how significant is the demand for romance among our readership.

When I’m out and about, people so often say to me, “I just don’t have the time to read.” My feeling is that regardless of your family commitments, employment and packed social calendar, if you love books, you will find the time. Here is how to make it happen:
A character-driven reader is someone who reads in order to get into the head of an interesting character. This is different from those who read for setting, storyline or prose. A book with character as its biggest appeal is a book in which readers feel so connected with the characters that when the book is over, they feel they lost someone dear to them. However, there is more than one type of character-driven reader and there is more than one type of character-driven book.

(June 27, 2018) The Eastern Ontario Regional Network (EORN) is pleased that all Members of Parliament representing the region, and from across party lines, have signed strong letters of support to the federal government to help fund proposed cell service improvements for the region.
EORN is proposing a $213 million public-private partnership to improve both the reach and quality of cellular data services in rural Eastern Ontario, which is essential for business investment, jobs and quality of life.
