We're so pleased to be able to welcome visitors back to the Museum & Archives. We're closely following the health and safety guidelines set out by KFL&A Public Health, introducing scheduled viewing and adding additional cleaning protocols for our space.

How to Visit the Museum:

Book an appointment below or call 613-354-3027. You will receive an email confirming your appointment. Appointments will staggered to avoid visitor congestion.

When you arrive, please:

  • Put on your face covering before entering the building.
  • Check in with the front desk and be prepared to answer screening questions.
  • Please use hand sanitizer. It will be available in the front foyer and at high contact areas throughout the museum.
  • Your visit can be up to one hour in length.

How to Visit the Archives:

We've created two researcher pods within the Archives, each available from 10am - 1pm. You can book an appointment below or call 613-354-3027. You will receive an email confirming your appointment. The archivist will call you in advance of your visit to discuss the resources you require from our collections. You may book more than one session per week. Please book appointments at least two days in advance to allow for record retrieval, if necessary. 

Be prepared to bring a mask or face covering, personal device to take photographs or scans (no photocopying services are available at this time), pencil, paper or other note taking devices. 

When you arrive, please:

  • Put on your face covering before entering the building.
  • Check in with the front desk and be prepared to answer screening questions.
  • Proceed to the washroom (touchless entry) and wash your hands with warm soapy water.
  • Please do not use hand sanitizer immediately before entering the archives reading room as it may cause damage to archival records.
