Tamworth — The Ontario government is providing almost $1 million through the Social Services Relief Fund to help create four affordable housing units for seniors in Tamworth, in the Township of Stone Mills.
Lennox and Addington County is accepting applications from residents who are interested in being considered for appointment to the Economic Development Coalition. The Coalition provides advice for business promotion and matters related to economic development.
County Council will appoint 3 members to fill vacant positions in the following sectors:
On the evening of April 19, 2023, Lennox & Addington County held a Strategic Planning Open House via Zoom. The public were provided with the opportunity to attend in-person at each of the 4 lower tiers, and the meeting was also streamed live online via the County of Lennox and Addington YouTube channel.
Lennox & Addington County is holding a Strategic Planning Open House on Wednesday, April 19th. County staff will be providing presentations on various County services, with time for questions from the public.
In-person public participation will be available at each of the 4 local municipalities are as follows:
Eastern Ontario, March 20, 2023 – The Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus (EOWC) met on March 9 and 10, 2023 in the County of Lennox and Addington for their annual strategic priority setting meeting to set Caucus priorities for the year ahead.

This year the County of Lennox and Addington completed a reconstruction project on County Road 11 through the Village of Selby. The funding received through the Canada Community-Building Fund (formerly known as the Gas Tax Fund), supported the County to complete the re-construction of County Road 11 through the village.
