Into the Black Nowhere by Meg Gardiner offers a gripping, terrifying look into the mind of a serial killer. Women are disappearing near Austin, Texas and the count is up to five before the first body is found. Posed as if at rest, she is clothed in a bloodstained white nightie and surrounded by photos indicating the predator’s need for a ritual only he understands. He abducts his victims on Saturday nights and leaves photos of blond women in white nightgowns: some are dead, some are alive and terrified.

Caitlin Hendrix, a former police officer, is relatively new to the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit. This investigation requires her to use all of her old skills and the new ones taught by her FBI mentor. Can Caitlin and her team develop a profile to catch the killer before next Saturday? Strong characters and several twists and turns will keep you engaged in this page-turner until you reach the compelling finish.
