Filling in a family tree can be both exciting and daunting, and the Museum & Archives is here to help you fill in some of the blanks.

Staff is here to help, and we can give you starting points to your search for those elusive ancestors. We can help you navigate our genealogical sources as well as direct you to helpful online tools.

Can’t make it here? Contact the Museum and Archives for distance genealogical research assistance.

In addition to our extensive genealogy collection, researchers have access to Ancestry.ca: Library Edition, in the Archives reading room. Connect to the WiFi on your own device to access your home subscription of Ancestry.ca and fill in those family tree gaps as you dig into our collections.

Archive Fees

All service fees are based on a cost recovery model. Factors such as the physical condition of the records and copyright restrictions may prevent some or all of the reproduction processes from being offered.

Here's the research and request fee schedule for a complete list of services.
