RE: Real Estate Signs on County Roads

This notice is to remind you that the County of Lennox & Addington will continue with the removal of real estate signs located on County of Lennox & Addington road allowances, except for those located at the point of sale (i.e. at the property for sale).  Signs placed at locations, regardless of what the signs are installed on or attached to, other than the point of sale contravene County By-law 3025/06 and will be removed.

This action is necessary to address the proliferation of real estate signs, particularly those located at intersections as these signs are prone to causing sight line obstructions, resulting in safety issues for road users.  Please note that all other offending signs will also be removed, not just real estate signs.

The County of Lennox & Addington thanks you for your cooperation on this matter and appreciates your assistance in keeping County roads free of excess signage.

Sincerely,

Jim Klaver
