Apply for Emergency Support
If you have immediate financial obligations you can’t meet, you might be able to access emergency financial support. You may be eligible to receive money to help you pay rent or utility arrears, or other essential needs like prescription drugs.

To get help faster, make sure you have the following information ready when you call:
- Names and dates of birth for all household members
- Gross monthly income for all household members

Emergency Support provides financial assistance to low-income households in emergencies such as rent or utility arrears, or other immediate needs.

Temporary Care Assistance
PELASS can provide financial and person-centered supports for individuals that assume the care of children that are not able to reside with their biological parent(s). For example, this benefit may support grand-parents, close family friends; aunts or uncles, etc., and monthly funds may be issued to support the needs of the child.
A PELASS caseworker can assist in completing a Temporary Care Application.
