What to Do When You Get a Ticket
If you get a ticket, check the reverse side of your ticket for your payment options.
Please note – the ticket states that payment is due in 15 days, but our Court provides an additional 29 days for a total of 44 calendar days before conviction.
If you have moved since your last court appearance, please email here or call 613-354-1672 to provide your email, phone number, and current mailing address so that you do not miss important information.

Trial Option (Plead Not Guilty or Guilty of a Lesser Charge)
Sign under Option 3 on the back of your ticket, verify your address is correct on the certificate of offence.
Write your telephone number and email address. Then, mail (97 Thomas St. East, Napanee, ON K7R 4B9) or email the original offence notice.
If you need an interpreter, please specify the language in the designated language requested section.
After you have submitted your request, you will be sent a letter containing your Court Hearing date, which will typically be scheduled around 6-8 months from the date of offence.
Upon receiving your Court date, you can arrange a meeting with the Prosecutor. It is crucial to schedule a meeting with the Prosecutor before your court date, as there may not be sufficient time for discussions on the day of court.
