Absolutely! Families are a valuable part of the residents care team and are strongly encouraged to participate actively in the development of personalized care plans for their loved ones. We also encourage them to share their insight on opportunities to strengthen the quality of life, and experience their loved one is having at JMPC.

The Centre offers a home-like environment that emphasizes comfort, dignity, and identity. Residents contribute to the types of programs and meals they would like to have and are encouraged to actively engage in the life of the Home to the extent they are most comfortable with.

The Centre is committed to improving the quality of services through an annual Quality Improvement Plan, considering objective data related to resident care. An annual resident and family satisfaction survey is conducted each fall that guides our improvement processes. Staff satisfaction/engagement surveys are also conducted to also contribute to quality improvement opportunities at JMPC. The Home is also committed to ensuring best practices are incorporated in our service delivery throughout the Home.

The Home offers a range of amenities, including personalized care plans, recreational activities, meals cooked at the Home, and specialized medical services.

Visitors are required to follow safety protocols, which may include wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, eye protection, or gowns, hand sanitizing, and passive health screenings. The most up to date requirements are always posted at the Home and are regularly shared in the Family Newsletter.

The Centre provides comfortable and inviting accommodations in a beautiful rural setting. The bedrooms consist of private rooms and basic rooms. Resident rooms all have their own two piece bathroom, bed, nightstand, chair and wardrobe. Linens and towels are all provided as well as all basic toiletries. Basic rooms share a space with one other resident. The basic rooms are divided with a ¾ length wall separating the two bedrooms.

The Centre’s Quality Improvement Plan includes surveys and reports that reflect residents’ perspectives. The Home has an active resident and family council who advocate and contribute in a positive and collaborative way to ensure the Home remains focussed and committed to resident centered, high quality, and meaningful practices.
