FAQs
How can I contact paramedic services in case of an emergency?
Dial 911 in case of a medical emergency to request immediate assistance from our paramedic team.
What is Community Paramedicine (CP)?
Community Paramedicine is an innovative healthcare model aimed at providing more effective and cost-efficient services to those who prefer to receive care at home. Community paramedics provide health promotion, illness prevention, patient assessments, and non-emergency patient care to patients and their families while at home.
What is the Emergency Services Advisory Committee (ESAC)?
ESAC is a collaborative committee of community partners that includes representatives of our four lower tier municipalities, hospitals, public health, fire departments, OPP, and others. This committee is dedicated to shaping and improving our emergency services, ensuring they meet the needs of our community.
What services do our Paramedics provide?
Our paramedics are trained professionals who offer emergency medical care, transportation, and support during critical situations. Land Ambulance services are especially important to ensure rural residents receive quality emergency care while in transport to a medical facility.
What is Emergency Management?
Emergency Management focuses on four areas to ensure public safety: Prevention (Mitigation), Preparedness, Response and Recovery. Rest assured that the County works closely with Emergency Management Ontario and community partners to ensure readiness before, during and after an emergency.
