Overview
The County of Lennox and Addington respects the privacy of the people it serves and the privacy of the County’s partners in service delivery. In all its activities, the County is committed to safeguarding the individual’s and organization’s privacy.
The County will collect only the personal information required for its delivery of public service. The County will use the personal information only for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by legislation. The County restricts access to personal information to authorized staff who require the information to carry out their duties. The County will only retain the information as long as necessary, or as required by legislation.
The County respects the person’s right to know what information the County holds about him or her; the purpose for which this information is used; and the person’s right to access this information, except as restricted by legislation.
The County will only provide personal information to which the requester is legally entitled. Otherwise, the County will not disclose personal information to any other party without valid consent, unless required by law.
The County is committed to keeping the information it collects and holds secure, current and accurate. The County respects the person’s right to identify possible inaccuracies and encourages the person to provide the County with updated personal information. The County has set out a process to address any concerns.
