Experience the spirit of the season at Lennox & Addington County's 6th annual ‘Christmas Tree’ event on Tuesday, December 17th from 6 - 8 pm. This festive event takes place at the L&A County Museum and Archives, located at 97 Thomas Street East in Napanee.
We’re inviting families to join us for “Storytime with Santa”, a special holiday story celebration with a very special guest: Santa Claus himself!
Children will have a chance to participate in holiday games and crafts. We will also be staging Santa photo sessions.
Please note that photos by our photographer will be posted on the library's Facebook account. If you do not want a photo of your child on Facebook, you will have the option to quickly snap your own photo.
All are welcome to this FREE event. Parents/guardians must remain on site.

Each year as the business of December approaches I shift my reading to light, cozy, predictable and delightful Christmas stories. I love that in just a few hours (not unlike a Hallmark movie) you can enjoy a little brain candy and escape from the hustle and bustle. Below are a few Christmas cozies new to our collection this year that I have enjoyed so far:
Andree Duval, Relief Librarian for the Lennox & Addington Libraries, recently enjoyed The Butterfly Girl by Rene Denfeld, which Margaret Atwood describes as a "heartbreaking, finger-gnawing, and yet ultimately hopeful novel."
The Province of Ontario recently introduced the Regional Development Program, which will invest more than $100 million over four years to support business growth in eastern and southwestern Ontario communities.
The Program supports eligible small- and medium-sized businesses investing in new equipment and training to expand operations in these regions, and also provides support to municipalities and not-for-profit organizations investing in economic development projects.
Lennox & Addington County really is a beautiful place, as evidenced by the number of amazing photos floating around on social media.
We invite you to explore hidden gems and unspoiled moments amid the beauty of L&A. Take plenty of photos and be sure to tag us on your Instagram page with #UnspoiledLA to share your moments with us!
Experiencing something first hand has the greatest influence on each one of us. It can be something as simple as taking a moment and admiring a tree, wondering how many children have climbed it, how many families have had picnics under it, how long it has been there providing shelter and protection for our wildlife, or whether this tree is part of someone’s story.
Like every year, 2019 has been chock full of movie adaptations of well-loved books. Some of them have tanked (ahem The Goldfinch), while others look extremely promising (Little Women) or possibly worth a watch (Where Did You Go Bernadette). If you love movies as much as you love books, you’ll want to prepare for the following big 2020 releases.
This upcoming P.A. Day, Friday, November 29th, we'll have a ton of fun activities happening across our branches. Please note that Bath, Tamworth and Yarker Branches are closed on Fridays as usual, but we'll have stuff going on into Saturday.
