Businesses getting ready for 2017 tourism season

With summer fast-approaching, a number of Lennox & Addington County's signature tourism operators will soon be opening their doors for another busy season.

Bon Echo Provincial Park in Cloyne opens for day use and overnight camping beginning on May 12th. Bon Echo is the county's largest tourist attraction, with more than 200,000 people through the gates annually.

On June 10th from 10am-1pm at the Napanee Branch Library, we will be holding our 3rd Annual Local Author Showcase and Great Big Book Sale.

We are currently in the process of confirming the local writers we will be featuring at this event. If you are interested in participating (it's free!), please contact Julie by May 29th.

Market season returns to Lennox & Addington County

Market season has arrived in Lennox & Addington County. Now is your chance to purchase a great assortment local products and crafts at a number of markets in our area.

Beginning May 12th from 2-6pm, be sure to check out the Odessa Farmers' Market. The market runs rain or shine and is open every Friday from 2 - 6pm throughout the summer at the Odessa Fairgrounds.

Joe Gilker to lead 2017 DSVA stargazing sessions

You many not have been able to actually see him (after all, it IS dark), but he was the one with the laser pointer familiarizing you with the night sky and who let you peek through his telescope at some celestial wonders above.

Medicinal marijuana company goes public

Ken Clement of ABcann Medicinals Inc. is to celebrate his birthday in a big way Thursday as the company he founded goes public.

Shares of ABcann Medicinals Inc., which opened in 2014 and began selling cannabis to customers across Canada last year, are to be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange Venture Exchange as ABcann Global (TSXV: ABCN).

Museum cooking up a tasty edition of ‘Tuesday Night’ on May 16th
