Seventh Town to play Music in the Garden concert on August 30th

Great musical performances in a beautiful garden setting - a perfect combination. On Wednesday, August 30th at 7pm, you're invited to attend “Music in the Garden” – the final music event of the summer happening at the Allan Macpherson House & Park in Napanee.

Celebrate Canada’s 150th at the Lennox and Addington County Museum

Celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary with just a loonie admission to the Lennox and Addington County Museum, Napanee.  During July and August, the County Museum is host to “In the Money”, a travelling exhibit from the Bank of Canada.  This fun and engaging exhibit explores how paper is made, compares security and printing features and provides insight into ancient coins and notes.  Through interactive stations and displays, visitors will explore a behind-the-scenes glimpse of modern methods for developing, testing and producing secure innovative bank notes.

The Macpherson House in Napanee is now open and a full slate of programming will soon be underway. Two fun-filled events will be taking place in mid-July that are aimed at music lovers and children of all ages.

Busy summer season in store at the Macpherson House

The Allan Macpherson House & Park, located at 180 Elizabeth Street in Napanee, opened for another busy summer season on June 27th. The House, built in 1826, recently received a new cedar shingle roof and looks as grand as it ever has, standing proudly along the banks of the Napanee River. It will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1 – 5 pm.

Tuesday Night at the Museum returns to the Lennox & Addington County Museum & Archives in Napanee on June 20th at 7pm. Hear from Diane Gallinger, guest curator of “Crinolines and Confederation” exhibit currently on display at the Museum & Archives.

Sampson-Matthews Canadian Silkscreen Art Collection on exhibit

The Lennox & Addington County Museum & Archives is pleased to be displaying a Sampson-Matthews Canadian Collection of Silkscreen Art. A vivid display of 14 prints portraying the Canadian landscape is at the museum to enjoy until October 15th.

Be 'Curator for a Day' at Museum Kids on June 3rd

Kids, do you collect something you just have to share? Become a curator for a day on June 3rd at 10am and showcase your collection at Museum Kids!

Bring in your collection the Lennox and Addington County Museum and Archives in Napanee and create an “exhibit” to share with the public. Table space will be provided to each child, along with some art supplies to assist with the “exhibit design” for their special collections.

Museum cooking up a tasty edition of ‘Tuesday Night’ on May 16th

It's sure to be a mouth-watering edition of ‘Tuesday Night at the Museum’ at the Lennox & Addington County Museum & Archives in Napanee on May 16th at 7pm. Those in attendance will learn about a number of popular Ontario cookbooks and taste the wares from some well-known 'cooks' from Lennox & Addington County.
