For our next sumer time excursion in Lennox & Addington, my partner Heidi and I set our sights to the northern portion of the county for a highly anticipated escape to The Addington Highlands. There, we would spend three days exploring the splendid scenery of Bon Echo Provincial Park. From hiking, kayaking and scenic boat tours to delicious local food and beyond - get ready for our biggest Lennox & Addington adventure yet!

One of my favourite hiking destinations could be L&A County's best-kept secret for nature lovers. Menzel Centennial Provincial Nature Reserve is located on Roblin Road, about 4.5 kilometres west of County Road 41 near the hamlet of Roblin.
One of my duties with L&A County is that I manage the popular Dark Sky Viewing Area north of Erinsville. It's a pretty fun part of the job, even though I sometimes get home well after midnight.
On June 4th, the Province of Ontario announced that they are allowing short-term rentals - lodges, cabins, cottages, homes, condominiums and B&Bs - to resume operations in Ontario beginning on Friday, June 5th at 12:01 am.

Owners should consult health and safety guidelines related to the tourism and hospitality sector when considering how they can reopen their doors to guests.

When spring arrives, so too does the rain. We can't control the weather, but at least we can enjoy some of the effects of the steady showers in April and May.

Lennox & Addington County is home to many unique tourism products as well as a variety of top-notch events that are enjoyed by both residents and visitors alike. From now until February 28th, the Lennox & Addington County Economic Development Office is accepting applications for the Tourism Activation Program. The goal of the funding is to create additional unique experiences that will further increase visitation to L&A.
Bundle up and enjoy the cold weather! Whether you're into snowmobiling, snowshoeing or cross country skiing, there's lots to keep you busy.
You don’t have to live here to access over 200 km of as part one of the premier snowmobiling networks in Ontario. Get your OFSC permit (required for all OFSC trails) then ride the trails across L&A County from Napanee to Arden; Perth Road Village to Amherstview; and up north through some amazing trails in Addington Highlands.
