Newspaper Digitization Project

Rob Plumley

An exciting project for 2017 is underway in the Archives. Jim Sova, a dedicated volunteer, has been hard at work preparing parts of the microfilmed newspaper collection for digitization. The Napanee Express (1862-1951) and The Napanee Standard (1855-1866) are slated for phase one of the project. The goal is to have as many issues as possible searchable by keyword.

Staff Picks: I See You

Catherine

“I See You is the highly anticipated page-turner by author Clare Mackintosh whose debut book I Let You Go caused quite a stir late last year,” says Marg Wood from the Napanee Branch. “It was hailed as the new Girl on the Train and proved to be extremely popular; in fact it is still in high demand. I just finished reading I See You and I predict that it will garner the same interest and be just as popular!”

Emergent Light

Catherine

The County of Lennox and Addington Public Libraries are proud to support the community’s culture and talent. It is for this reason that we have started the “Art in the Library” program in partnership with the Greater Napanee Area Arts Association (GNAAA). A prominent feature wall was created at the Napanee Branch specifically for this program where artists can display their work.

"Emergent Light", the latest exhibit, will be running until February 28th.
