The Bath Museum is celebrating the art of the quilt in a special exhibit called 'A Stitch in Time'. The Bath Bicentennial Quilt, now part of the Heritage Quilt Collection at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre will be on display along with quilts on loan or donated from members of the community.
The quilts will be on display on October 12,13,14,19,20 from 10am - 4pm.
The 70" by 90" Bicentennial quilt includes appliqué, quilting and construction done entirely by hand. Twenty blocks depicting historic buildings of Bath surround a centre bock showing the launching of the Frontenac, the first steamship on the Great Lakes, in 1816.
