Employee Recognition

The County of Lennox and Addington celebrates and appreciates our employees through various thoughtful initiatives. Our Service Recognition honours staff with certificates and gifts which are meaningful to the employee. Employees choose how they wish to be recognized – either one on one with their manager, with their team or at our annual staff appreciation event. The Peer to Peer Recognition Program empowers employees to acknowledge colleagues’ skills, achievements, and efforts, enhancing our organizational culture and morale.

Our Staff Suggestion Policy encourages innovation, recognizing individuals who propose successful ideas, showcasing their initiative and creativity. Additionally, we offer digital Shout Outs on our Intranet for on-the-spot recognition and observe special appreciation weeks for professions like nursing and paramedics, further acknowledging the diverse roles within our community. The CAO Postcard Program adds a personal touch by sending postcards to individuals or teams who exceed expectations, ensuring every effort is acknowledged and valued.

Our “Art is Ageless” Initiative features cards showcasing art by residents at our long-term care facilities and children in our childcare programs. Managers and staff can use these cards for appreciation, encouragement, congratulations or recognizing significant days or life events. We’ve got some talented artists!
