Employee Engagement

Overview
Engaged employees drive success. They’re more productive, happier, and stay loyal to our organization.

Employee Engagement Survey
Employees provide feedback on key areas such as culture, teamwork, health and wellness, leadership, and communication. To further enhance our initiatives, employee focus groups help develop action plans, targeting areas needing improvement. Leadership updates staff on progress every six months, with previous assessments conducted in 2018 and 2023.
New Hire Survey
We invite new hires to share their experiences during recruitment, selection, orientation, and onboarding. Your feedback matters to us. We use this information to make necessary improvements, ensuring a positive start at the County.
Retention Interviews and Surveys
At the County of Lennox and Addington, we truly value our employees’ contributions and want to ensure they feel supported, engaged, and fulfilled in their roles. As they reach their one-year milestone, we want to hear about their experiences — what’s working well, what could be improved, and how we can continue to support their successes. Employees can participate in a one-on-one conversation with HR or they can share their thoughts in an anonymous online survey.
Exit Interviews
If an employee chooses to leave the County of Lennox and Addington to pursue other employment opportunities, an exit interview is their chance to provide valuable insights into workplace culture, leadership effectiveness, and areas for improvement, all of which contribute to making an organization more attractive to current and potential employees.
