NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION

County Road 23 (Taylor Kidd Blvd)


Please be advised that commencing approximately Monday, May 30, 2016 County Road 23 (Taylor Kidd Blvd) from County Rd 6 to County Rd 24 (Coronation Blvd) in Loyalist Township will be under construction.  Work on this road is scheduled to be completed by approximately Friday, July 15, 2016.

                      Public Notice - Parking, Snow Deposit and Sump Discharge on                              County of Lennox and Addington Roads and Bridges

The public is advised that County of Lennox and Addington By-Law No. 2697/98 regulates and requires the removal of items obstructing, encumbering, injuring or fouling County roads and bridges. The parking of vehicles, depositing of snow and discharging of sumps on County roads and bridges during winter months are examples of actions prohibited under this by-law. Section 181 of the Highway Traffic Act further prohibits the deposit of snow and ice on a roadway.

Notice of Public Information Centre for the Reconstruction of Bridge Street from Alma Avenue to Belleville Road

The County of Lennox and Addington and the Town of Greater Napanee propose to reconstruct Bridge Street from Alma Avenue to Belleville Road in 2016. The proposed work includes replacement of Sanitary Sewers, Watermains, Storm Sewers, reinstatement of the Roadway Surface and Sidewalks.

NGS Traffic Delay Notice - September 2015 | Print |
TransCanada is currently constructing the Napanee Generating Station (NGS) on Highway 33, just east of the County Road 21.

Construction activities will bring some temporary traffic delays on Highway 33 mainly between the Lafarge Bath Cement Plant and the NGS site as large equipment is delivered to site. The equipment will be accompanied by police escorts in front and behind the convoys.

The public is reminded that any construction, paving or other alteration to driveways that is proposed for that portion of the driveway that is within the limits of any County Road road allowance is subject to By-law No. 2572/95, as amended, "A By-law to Regulate the Location, Construction and Use of Entrances Onto County Roads".

To Residents and Property Owners Regarding Noxious Weeds
 
The purpose of the Weed Control Act, R.S.O. 1990, is to reduce the impact of noxious weeds on the industries of agriculture and horticulture. Primarily this act applies to agricultural and horticultural lands that generate income or other benefits to agriculture; this excludes lawns, gardens and private areas for personal enjoyment and leisure. Under the Weed Control Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter W.5 Sections 3, 13, 16, and 18, you are requested to destroy all noxious weeds on your property. Failure to comply with the Weed Control Act may result in the municipality entering lands to have the weeds destroyed and costs may be recovered through tax billings as provided for in the Act.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE

The County of Lennox and Addington initiated a Transportation Master Plan (TMP) in March 2013 to help guide the County's transportation programs and road infrastructure investments for the next twenty years. The goal of the study is to assess the transportation needs within the County of Lennox and Addington.
